The Class:

  • In this collage class, we'll explore the endless possibilities of found imagery and mixed media! We'll delve into the fundamentals of design principles and composition to craft visually interesting artworks. 

  • Image prompts will be provided for those seeking inspiration or a starting point. 

  • Whether you're a seasoned artist or just starting out, you’ll be supported in a journey of self-expression as we transform ordinary materials into works of art.


Jessica Kranz, a versatile multidisciplinary artist in Colorado Springs, creates with a range of mediums such as collage, printmaking, paint, and sculpture to weave artistic narratives. With an Art and Visual Culture Education degree from The University of Arizona, Jessica's creations resonate with a passion for vibrant color dynamics and compelling storytelling. Her artworks invite viewers to ponder their own existence and surroundings, encouraging both personal growth and collective introspection.

Supplies Provided:

  • Paper to use as the canvas for your work

  • Scissors

  • Glue

  • Some magazines

  • Printed images for prompts

Note for students: if you have any of the following supplies, please bring them; magazines, pre-loved books, markers, paint, paint pens, old photographs, decorative papers, x-acto knife.
