After a pandemic (and carpal tunnel surgery) - related hiatus, our acclaimed Hand Lettering Classes are back! Join lettering artist and Ladyfingers Co-Founder Arley Torsone to learn the basics of hand lettering and use your new skills to artfully translate the murmurings of your heart into a beautifully hand-lettered masterpiece! Students will learn the basics of typography and a variety of styles through the practice of drawing with Pigma Microns (which will be supplied) and other tools that the Ladyfingers use in their own professional practice. Choose from a 3-hour Sans-Serif, Serif, or Script style class for $75, or purchase a 3-class pack to learn all three styles and save $50!

Tuition includes Pen Packs, materials and stationery goodies from Ladyfingers Letterpress.

Registration is non-refundable or exchangeable. Additional supplies available for purchase at Ladyfingers Letterpress. All students receive a 10% discount on all in-store purchases on the day of the workshop.

ABOUT ARLEY:

Illustration and lettering has been a lifelong passion for Torsone, a BFA graduate of Parsons School for Design and Co-Founder of Ladyfingers Letterpress. His obsession with lettering began when he realized he was spending 96% of his life scrolling through endless lists of fonts on his computer when the answer was right in front of him in the form of paper and a pen. Constantly frustrated with his digital compositions lacking the personality that matched the tone of his work, he opted for the hand-lettering life and never looked back. He is responsible for all the design and lettering that comes out of the Haus of Ladyfingers, so if anything offends you, you can most likely blame him.

Demand for his workshops has brought him all over the place, including Iceland, Miami and California. Now held in the comfort of his studio at Ladyfingers Letterpress in Colorado Springs, his hand-lettering classes attract folks from all over the country (and world!) from all different skill levels and artistic backgrounds. He's made stuff for famous people and national brands and his work has been seen in famous publications and has received a bunch of awards and stuff, but his crowning achievement is his Poop Font that is on display in the bathroom at Ladyfingers.
